Senior Engineer in Plymouth, MI

Major Job Duties Include
Development and bench-marking the efficiency and robustness of crashing sensing algorithm for the occupant safety system.
- Examine crash data set from customers to insure correct data is used
- Calibrate control parameters and simulate crash data against created calibration
- Adjust calibration to increase system robustness without sacrificing sensing performance
- Present simulation results and explain trade-offs(if any) to customer
- Mat lab Graphics and Programming
- Post- process simulation results in graphics for customer review
- Create Mat lab scripts for routine works to optimize efficiency
- Modify existing Mat lab script to fit customer's special needs
- Product Validation Test
- Consolidate hardware, application software with calibration to perform system level product validation
- Utilize tools and equipment to generate crash signal for hardware-in-the-loop test and compare results with simulation
- Investigate any unexpected results with simulation and experimental manner
- Participate new algorithm development by applying existing data to verify new algorithm concept
- Benchmark study for potential future customers Minimum Job Requirements Include
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ME or EE) - A minimum of 2 years in automotive or control systems - Knowledge in automotive techniques, vehicle dynamics and control theory - Experience with planning and conduction of tests as well as evaluation of test results - Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary - Vehicle driving experience (willing to learn operating a vehicle at the physical limits) - Team oriented working style - Flexible, in order to participate in test sessions in different locations (in and outside of the U.S.) - Strong negotiation skills necessary Desired
